Areas of Expertise
  • Motion preservation surgery includes some of the latest surgical techniques in spine surgery with the primary goal to maintain the normal or near-normal biomechanics of the spine. It is an effective alternative and helps overcome some of the limitations associated with traditional spinal fusion procedures.

  • Dr. Armaghani is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in adult spine reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery. He has training in new motion preservation and minimally invasive techniques with the goal of returning his patients back to enjoying the activities they love, in the safest way possible.

  • Treatment of a degenerating spine depends on the severity and the type of degenerative condition. In most cases, the condition can be best treated non-operatively if there is no compression of the spinal cord or nerve roots. Surgery may be considered if the degenerative spinal condition is more severe and not responding to non-operative measures or has caused herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or spinal cord compression.
